Healthy Spinach and White Bean Dip

Spinach dip made healthier with white beans for fibre and protein! Serve with some pita crisps and chopped veggies for a delicious snack.

Directions

Step 1 

Preheat oven on the broil setting.

Step 2 

In a food processor, combine the beans, cream cheese, salt, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth scraping down the sides as needed.

Step 3 

Add more spices to taste and adjust the texture with milk until it is smooth and spreadable.

Step 4 

If using fresh spinach, soak in hot water until wilted and drain before using. If using frozen spinach, thaw, drain excess water. Blend in the spinach until roughly chopped. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Step 5 

Empty into an oven safe dish and add cheese on top.

Step 6 

Broil dip until cheese is melted and golden.

Step 7  

Enjoy with tortilla chips and cut up vegetables.
