To make this recipe even better for you, we mix in an egg while it is cooking (we promise you can’t tell it’s there). The egg provides protein, and makes the oatmeal creamy. You can never go wrong with oatmeal for breakfast!

Directions

Stove Top: 

In a small pot, combine all of the ingredients and mix until combined. Cook oatmeal on medium heat stirring often until it is thick. Add more water or milk as needed to get to your favourite texture. Top with your favourite toppings.

Microwave: 

In a microwave safe bowl, mix together all of the ingredients until well combined. Microwave for 1 minute or until oatmeal is thick. Top with your favourite toppings.

Tips & Variations

  • If using an egg, cook the oatmeal on a stove top. Nut butter can be used if using the stove or microwave.

  • To make this recipe gluten free, make sure you are using gluten free rolled oats and granola.

  • To make this recipe nut free, use a nut free granola, and use seed butter or an egg in place of the almond butter

  • To make this recipe dairy free, use a dairy free milk alternative and do not use Greek yogurt.
