This apple ring snack is a tasty treat that pairs crisp apples with creamy nut or seed butter. Bonus: Nut and seed butters are a great source of healthy fat, protein and fibre.

Directions

Step 1 

Turn apple on its side and slice into 5 pieces.

Step 2 

Using a knife or the apple corer, remove the center of each circle.

Step 3 

Spread almond butter on one side of each of the slices and sprinkle coconut and granola on top.

Tips & Variations

  • To make this recipe nut free, use a seed butter such as sunflower seed butter.

  • To make this recipe gluten free, make sure you are using a gluten free granola. Look for granola that has less than 8g of sugar and more than 4g of fibre per serving
