Healthier Chocolate Chip Cookies

Nothing beats a classic chocolate chip cookie! This recipe keeps the same sweet taste but adds in some extra fibre from the rolled oats. Keep these handy for when you’re craving a healthy yet delicious treat!

Directions

Step 1 

Preheat oven to 350˚F (175˚C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2 

In a medium-sized bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.

Step 3 

In a smaller bowl, add melted coconut oil. Whisk in vanilla, honey, and egg.

Step 4 

Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

Step 5 

Place batter in fridge for 10 minutes to chill before scooping into 12 equal sized cookies and placing on the baking sheet.

Step 6 

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until slightly golden on the sides. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
