These cheddar crackers are a delicious snack that you’ll have a great time making with your family! We love cutting them into shapes- get creative with cookie cutters, or cut into squares.
In a food processor, combine the flours, garlic powder, salt, cheese, and cold butter. Mix until everything is combined.
Add in the water and egg yolk and process until the mixture forms a ball. Form into a disc and cover in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a non-stick baking mat.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured work surface to about ⅛ inch thick.Cut into 1 inch squares, or use a cookie cutter to make shapes. Place onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a bit of room for them to puff up. Use a skewer or a fork to poke holes in the centre so they don't puff up too much.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes depending on the size of your crackers. They should be lightly golden and crisp. Allow to cool before enjoying!
