Baked Grilled Cheese

This baked grilled cheese sandwich is so easy to make and uses less oil or butter than frying! You can cook up a bunch at once and have lunch for the whole family without worrying over the stove.

Make sure to serve with some veggies to make a balanced meal!

Directions

Step 1 

Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Lightly butter 1 side of each slice of bread.

Step 2 

Place buttered side down on the baking sheet. Add the grated cheese on top of the first slice, and top with the second slice, butter side up.

Step 3 

Bake for 8 minutes. Flip the grilled cheese over, the bottom should be starting to turn golden. Bake for an additional 5 to 8 minutes until the baked grilled cheese is golden and crisp.

Step 4 

Slice in half and serve with chopped up veggies or a salad for a complete meal.

Tips & Variations

  • Add more veggies! Try spinach, roasted peppers, or caramelized onions. Extra veggies on the side is always encouraged!
